How to make a beautiful silver "S - Link" necklace that also incorporates wooden beads. In this video I demonstrate how to create this unique necklace in easy to follow, step by step instructions. The S-link design is derived from nature, and has been used by artists for 1000s of years. The wire that you see me using in the video is 20 gauge nickel silver; when I make this piece in sterling silver wire, I use .035 sterling silver wire, soft, round. For the bridging link that I use to attach the s-links together, I use a piece of wire that is at least 4" long. The video also demonstrate how to construct the bridging link, and this link has the additional function of providing a way to add beads to the "S-Link" necklace.

The construction of the "S-Link" necklace requires the use of three pliers, round nose pliers, chain nose pliers and diagonal cutters. Each individual S-link is constructed from exactly a 2 inch length of silver wire.
