Having more than one seizure within a short time period can cause permanent brain damage. Each time the seizure occurs, damage and death results in the brain cell. I know because my husband experiences absence and partial focals after a brain injury and the neurologist told us. Please get a 24 hour encephelogram on your child and get her on anti-seizure medication if possible.

She was simply playing with her braclelets spinning them on her hand. She even managed to look at the tv for a couple of seconds while doing it. She seemed very "in to" what she was doing and with a seizure she would have lost focus, looked away and stopped spinning .

My daughter has epilespy (absent seizures and complex partial) and doesn't shake or fall to the ground etc
ALL of her EEGs show epilespy and they are very eay to pick up on. All seizures have patricular aspects which doctors look for when diagnosing pre EEG and from watching this clip I can't see anything to suggest seizure activity in your child.

My 4 year old son has the absence seizures too, but since they can't catch them on EEG, the doc's won't acknowledge them. I guess they're not hurting anything, though.

My son used to do this all the time, once we stopped this behavior and traded it for another (clapping, patty cake, me dancing with him) he started to not be so focused on things. He was diagnosed "severely autistic" but is making great strides. He also has seizures.

My son does this too!
He spins anything: string, necklaces, chains etc!
I watched it again . I saw it. After she looked at tv, and stopped, but she still seemed aware, then her eyes shifted a bit. I also watched your other vid, so I want to say I'm glad you seem to have found a natural remedy. I know a neighbor boy who was delayed by his seizure meds. Keep smiling. Hannah is beautiful!

Yes, a lot of people don't understand that there can be eye movement. Which made it harder to get her properly tested. Not a lot of doctors are trained for these type of seizures, typically they expect the whole fall down and shake stereotype.
Thank you for taking the time to reply. :)

Absence seizure - also known as petit mal seizure. During an absence seizure, a child is mentally absent from the surroundings — temporarily unaware of what is happening around him or her. I'm no expert but that's not what I see here.

She had one at the end. My child has had them for a long time. All seizures affect everyone differently and for different amounts of time.
