  • Hmmmm...while you have those perks for home schooling, I don't think I would have handled it. Besides, my parents aren't teachers and they graduated with a general diploma. But hey, so did I.

  • Well You don't need a teaching degree in order to homeschool your kid. My mom has a degree in nursing and my dad is a mechanic. Some people just arn't cut out for homeschooling I will admit, sometimes you do get cabin fever and can't stand your parents. but oh well =.

  • @sissygd11 if you just started then i understand but, dont go in your room or outside, go into a room where its quite and you can sit and just do your work, u if you cant concentrate at home when its quite then how can you concentrate at school when its loud and your around your friends?

  • Im going into 8th grade nd i was in public school up til 4th grade, homeschool is alot better if u care of getting better education, colleges look at homeschoolers more than public school cuz homeschoolers are more focused on the work. Its easy nd if u want u can start in september and end in January, what ever u want-

if anyone has any questions message me cuz i know everything bout it, its easy nd fun

  • I don't know what to do its a big descision I'm only almost in my 3rd year of highschool but I know ill miss our on things like prom and graduation. But i'd like the freedom of homeschool I was previously taught at home by private tutors because of inability to attend school because of an operation I had n did well better then at school another thing is I'm a shattered tired zombie after school ...

  • My parents are thinking of takin me outta school because I get bullied n my education is suffering I havnt got any better test results since joining highschool.

I want to be homeschooled but I'm scared of being replaced and forgotton by the friends I do have because I gernerally only see them in school they cant be bothered with me out of school. Ill miss the gossip and laughs me n my friends have but I believe my education will get better if I'm homeschooled

  • In my opinion I think you would do alot better being homeschooled. It helps to have parents who were former teachers. They may be more strict about schooling than most homeschooling parents simply cuz they used to be teachers..but that depends on how they run things. You definately wont have to get up as early for school...unless your parents make you. Your style of homeschooling all depends on how your parents run things. I think you should! I definately have benifited from being homeschooled.

  • im in 7th grade.school is really annoying for me because i suck at tests and projects, but im awesome at homework. all my friends are at diffrent schools, therefore i have no friends in my school, and my parents wont let me switch to a diffrent one. i go to catholic school. i stay up really late and i mean... i just hate having to get up and get ready for school. both my parents are former teachers. they said i could be homeschooled if i want. sooo.... should i?

    Please Reply!!!

  • i wasnt saying you said anything about exams! I was just saying what i love about homeschooling.

  • I LOve exam time! My friends all ask me if i have to take exams! and i simply say "I'm totally exam free!"

  • My schooling used to be ALOT more strict when I was younger. My days were much the way you describe it for your children. It was was until about 9th grade. Then I became more independant and didnt need my mom as much for school work. then I planned all my school myself. It also helps to be the youngest and only one left in grade school. However I do miss the times when my mother would get all of us together at the kitchen table and help us each when needed! Then we'd go on a feild trip!
