lol wtf, get yourself a jj os password, you gotta pay 50 bucks for the jj os 1 and another 50 bucks for the second.
and even if someone would like to give you his password, it wouldnt work. every mpc has its own ID matching with password.

can anyone help me find the FREE newest, most efficient os, with the fastest chop feature w/the zero crossings, and arppeg? maybe the OS2XL. I've looked and found a few downloads, but they need passwords to work. please help, this akai OS is too slow!

2000xl is famous for having the best data wheel.
don't worry, this above all things shouldn't keep you from getting an mpc. read about the pad replacement ordeal - if anything, THAT'S what you should be thinking about. also, don't buy a new mpc - buy a 2nd hand 1000 from craigslist or ebay.
akai as a company doesn't deserve your business, so buy used.
