This is a original 1971 Buick GSX 455 car. Yes this is a original, NOT A CLONE, 1 of only 124 ever made in 71 that includes 350, 455 and 455 stage 1 cars all together. This car is registered in the GSX registry. This car was not known to exist until it was discovered a little while ago. There are 3 known so far out of all 1971 GXS's to have a paint code of 62 which is Bittersweet Mist. The others Bittersweet Mist GSX's are restored one is only a 350 engine and 350 auto tranny car. The other is a stage 1 455 car. So this is the only 455 engine 1971 GSX made in the color Bittersweet Mist to date.
I have talked to the original owner and have a document that has been signed by him and notorized stating that this is a true 1971 GSX, which he bought on march 12, 1971. I have the original protecto plate This car is a 4owner car, and can be traced to every owner and all the owners are still alive. This was bought brand new at Key Buick & Opel in Jacksonville, Florida on 3/12/71. It stayed in Florida until mid 1979, then it went to the last of the 3 owners in Alabama where it stayed until about a month ago 2/1/08. Now it resides with me here in Pa. This was always a southern car and is about 98% rust free. It has just a little around the back rear window and a pin hole in the rear seat pan and where the battery box is, that was because of a leaky battery but thats it. I have alot of picture of the doors, trunk, floors, fenders, rad support, frame, etc and all of that is 100% solid. This is a very original car with the exception for the block as it was damaged back in the late 1970's and could not be repaired so it was changed with another but the rest of the car is all near original as you see it in the video. This car has had the passenger side door fixed back in 1971 only 3 months after it was new this was told to me by the original owner. The paint is nearly all original with the exception for the drivers door and rear quater. The interior, transmission, which is the original matching numbers turbo 400, original posi rear end, suspension, etc. This is a unmolested car that still retains, from what I can tell, all of it's original sheetmetal with the exception of the drivers door from what I can tell. you can see in the pictures the faded original paint as well as the original faded painted GSX stripes and hood treatment and the faded GSX decals. This car has a tanish interior and has the following options 455 motor, automatic turbo 400, air conditioning, GSX option, Bittersweet Mist paint, tan bucket seat interior, center console, courtesy light package, front and rear bumperettes, power steering, power disk brakes, 3:42 posi rear end heavy duty 10 bolt that only came on the GSX,15" ralley rims. It is sometimes hard to find 1970 GSX's but there out there as they made 678 and they only came in 2 colors yellow or white now compare that to a 1971 GSX which they only made 124 period and you can get them now in special order colors because every GSX had to be special ordered, that was the only way you could get one. If anyone wants a chance to own a original 1971 GSX here is your chance. These cars in #1 condition will bring near $150,000 because of what they are. The car was inspected by a very well know GSX expert and National judge( Duane Heckman of philadelphia, pa.). He shared his findings and pictures with a other well known GSX judge to also verify that THIS IS A GENUINE 1971 GSX. He took every date code he could find. He proved that the car has all of it's original sheetmetal with the exception of the drivers side door. The drivers door is a genuine GM part but was put on the car a couple months after it was purchased. There was some damage on the very front of the drivers side quater as well. This is why the black paint is mostly off the drivers side stripe. These 2 areas were repainted in 1971 as well as the stripes. Now the rest of the car still reatains it's original paint and stripes as well as GSX decals. The proof is in the stripes being that they are original to the car. The spoiler, tach, wheels, interior, bumpers, headlight assemblys, hood, suspension are all original to the car. All of the options on the car was also verified. I hope this helps everyone out. There is proof on this car and it is now documented as a true original 1971 GSX in bittersweet mist. if anyone has any questions about the inspection please email me or call 570-875-7109. Thanks for your interest...
UPDATE::::: The car has had a rotisserie high grade restoration and recieved Gold 2 times and the nationals. The car is for sale. The car was put back to factory specs everywhere as well as finding a correct block. If anyone is interested please feel free to call me. Sorry the car has been sold for $100,000.

If anyone has any questions please email me or call Me(Marty) at 570-875-7109.
