I love you so much for doing this. Way to save those old warriors! I wish I had the space for some of those...XD I can't believe what some folks will throw away.

@sparkey1958 Sometimes you need to give them some incentive, like a six pack of beer, just something to make them look the other way.

Wow! What a great assortment of TV's. It's really to bad some of those TV's ended up getting recycled. But at least you've got these ones. Do you have a favorite make of electronics?

what kind of Tv is in your Living Room?

What year is the 19" black and white Zenith? It is a channel selector / speaker grill area revision of my 1963 Zenith L2014.

Good day
Wow there are many many oldies in your area!
The ppl here now are only tossing 1990's/2000's sets
I helped a friend (who quit tv repair biz) take his "junk" to a recycler, as well as toss a few bad 1's of my own.
Someone had brought a DuMont oscilliscope from 1950 and a
"scratch free" complete 1976 era Pioneer stereo system..turntable cassette tuner and power amp, speakers.
My friend & I could not talk the ppl into trading/selling etc.
They went through the
"grinders"
Ahh old TVs!

Interesting. We had a recycling event at the office building I work at last year. I managed to save three flat panel computer monitors that didn't work by replacing faulty capacitors. I sold one on ebay and the other two I gave to my kids to replace their old CRT monitors. But they had a ton of old pc's and crt monitors that ended up being recycled.

What Are The Models Of The TVs In This Video???

My uncle has an old zenith tv that still works up to now and shows very clear
Why, do you collect old TV sets and do you have a flat-screen HD TV at your house beside your Television collection.

@cole3481596 We have a digital HDTV receiver which can be used with a flat panel computer monitor but that is the only HD flat panel equipment we have. All the rest is old TV's.

Hi Chad, very interesting video. I'm always fasinated by old Tv sets. The ones that have bad picture tubes, are they dangerous to power up because of the high voltage from the flyback still connected to the tube? Reason for asking is, that you could possibly check those sets for audio and if they do have the audio stage and able to check the high voltage with a probe, then at least you'll know what is working thus far.

Yes it would be dangerous to the set to power it up with a cracked picture tube. I wouldn't try this one without putting a known good picture tube in it. I have tried your suggestions before and removed the horizontal output tube to disable the high voltage when I was testing without the picture tube in place.

good vid chad, i'm in the u.k,so find your old u.s.a. electronics interesting....in those days the usa were so far advanced over england we were still watching black and white on 405 lines!
we are not allowed to salvage anything from our dumpes in the u.k which pisses me off, someone had dumped some old valve [tube] amplifiers and a box of tubes at my local dump...i pleaded with the guy to let me have them....no chance!

That's too bad you couldn't have salvaged those tubes and amps. I am very grateful to the recycling people here that they let me salvage old TV's and things.
