Me landing the Space Shuttle Endeavour (from the Shuttle Fleet V3.9.4 Pack free add-on for Orbiter) at the Kennedy Space Center SLF Runway, using a free spaceflight simulator called ORBITER (http://www.orbitersim.com) by Martin Schweiger. Voiceovers were done by myself during the flight/landing.

Approach to KSC and entry to HAC was simulated fairly good this time around because the addon comes with a GPCMFD with a usable HAC display page.

I use a Logitech Wingman Extreme 3D Pro Joystick to control the shuttle.

THIS IS NOT FLIGHT SIMULATOR 10/FSX NOR FS9/FS2004...this is a totally free but extremely accurate spaceflight simulator that can be downloaded off the internet. It has a large community base that produces excellent FREE addons for over FIVE years now. The learning curve is VERY steep, but, you DO NOT NEED a degree in physics, aerodynamics or mathematics to use it.

  • May I ask where I can get those MFDs screens for the Virtual Cockpit?

  • @SF1010 Google "orbithangar". Once you're in Orbithangar, search "Shuttle Fleet"...download and install, you'd get the MFDs once everything is in place.

  • Great video, great to see one doing the HAC. A bit of nitpicking here: HAC stands for Heading Alignment Cylinder.

  • @SF1010 yes my bad, "Heading" not "horizontal" lol thank you for correcting that, cheers!

  • its funny since when you land you slowly go down when i land i have no patience to slowly go down so i dive down to earth from space and pull up and pull off a estimated 50G (g-force)

  • thats a fighter jet style bank :D and vary nice slam in to the runway :D

  • Great Landing. Is there a manual available to land the space shuttle? How did you learn all the controls?

    Thanks.

  • I think you were a little hot at around 230 (195 is ideal) and it seemed to be dropping somewhat faster than 2 feet per second, so a little hard there. So keep practising. Just being picky, all kidding aside, It needs a screech for the nose wheel touchdown. We can't seem to find networking capability with Orbiter. Do you know if it has it?

  • i have this bu i dont know how to add it to fsx can you help me

  • jesus, it drops down like a brick. good flying though
