I've been looking everywhere for that particular version of My Shawl by Xavier Cugat. Where did you come across that? On which album or CD is it on?

This is a great song. Ihave an Xavier Cugat sheet music book from the 1940's and this is one of the songs in it. My father seen Cugat many times in the 1950's when he played the nightclubs and hotels in Manhattan and the rest of New York. I passed by the Waldorf Astoria last summer and I immediately thought of Cugat. If you like Cugat check out Yma Sumac. She is easily the greatest singer that ever lived, no one comes close.

"My Shawl" has always been my favorite instrumentals.
It was Cugat's theme song when he had a show in the earliest years of television.
