Since your comment, actually I joined the school/forums, and have been reading as much NHE as I could get my hands on. I'm surprised at how I've come, but I think...I, to some degree, understand what he's teaching.
I've gone on teaching my own horses, bitless, shoeless, and so fourth, and can report nothing other than success - and this is in the case of 2 abused rescue horses. Fancy that. :)

Having been in the horse world for most of my life, I've seen so much of what humans are willing to do to horses in pursuit of a dollar or an inlation of the ego. It led me to the place where I'm just glad to be able to keep a commitment of care to my own little herd. My hopes are in people like Nevzorov, that those who relate to horses in our future will do so with respect, honor and genuine love for the species and all that they give us.

@ThePippers They are making a physically tense exercise, things that demand concentration of both mind and body.
Besides, it is completely ridiculous to pay attention to nothing else in horse body language except "ears back". It's like reading a book when you know half of the alphabet - you will understand nothing...

@Sky212 Oh, cool :D

This is a beautiful thing. I gave up competing because of the idiotic rewarding of high scores for rollkur. Will do a little more homework and you'll likely be hearing from me about classes. It's plain to see that your animals are much happier wearing nothing than wearing a double. Good job, well done.

@Sky212 : i think they are listening to the man! when im sitting on my horse and say anithing to it, then the ears arent forward. its listening to me!

@whitiewolfdemon Nevzorov Haute Ecole. Haute Ecole is one term used to describe dressage; "higher teaching" is a rough translation.

what does NHE stand for in english?

Want to see how clear the pictures are and then judge for yourself? Look very clear and he doesn't look a whole lot younger to me.

Karyn - That might just be poor video quality. Perst (the horse he was riding) was, however, initially trained with tradiational methods (By Alexander) the others, were not. Could just be an older clip. :)

I wasn't refering to the CORDEO around the horses neck.

I asked a question, I did not make a positive statement. Do you know the differance? That alone makes me wonder about your intellectual abilities.
I have pictures of him riding with the cordeo and a bridle. So, knowing that he uses a bit to train the horse to respond to the cordeo I think my question wasnot to far off base.
Yes, this is really horse man ship! But why have the horses one the movies never they ears forward?

That's not a sign of aggression, but mostly it's a sign of concentration and attention. The ears are focused on the man standing on the ground/rider. When a horse is really putting some effort in his work, they mostly flatten their ears. Just take a good look when their running out in the pasture, most of the time you can see the ears lying flat. Compare that again with a aggresive picture. See the difference about flat ears in a concentrated way and aggresive way?
