In 1964, up-and-coming star Barbra Streisand signed a contract with CBS to film five television specials by 1975. "My Name is Barbra" is the glorious first of these, filmed in nostalgic black-and-white. Enjoy these glimpses of her genial work.

This sequence features a medley of depression-era songs, ironically set to Barbra frolicking throughout a department store.

  • @alfcab agree/me too. pity as 'brother can you spare a dime' important song and deserving of a separate performance particularly when streisand was so young and in full voice. but, love her anyway. amazing talent, icon etc etc.

  • every outfit was pretty fabulous but i could do without the fur breeches.
