from cycle 6. They did much much better than the winner of their cycle. Also, from most of the criticism of the show, it's not even produced a single good model. ( I quote this from Allure Magazine) I'm actually hoping that McKey changes that. One of the things Tyra mentions also in her intro of cycle 1 is that she saw the dream of young girls hoping to become a model, which is why the show was created. Not necesarrily all the models of the cycles outshine the winners. But were there a few, yes.

should have won because it would do wonders for her career. Sure she wasn't as great on top model- McKey stood out more to me in being a more presentable model. Was I necesarily excited when McKey won? No, I felt like top model would only hold back her potential. Similar to with the other cycles with Cycle 10- Whitney won, she could have used the title more than Anya because she had a messay, however, Anya and Katarzyna from that same cycle are now up with Elite. The same goes with Mollie Sue..

I see where you're coming from, this was the exact thoughts I had last cycle and with several other cycles. It so happens that in this cycle that they finally have a good set of the top 3 however, there were others that out shown- for example. And most of the modelling world is about getting booked. You must be booked in order to make money. However, I did not directly state that Sam should win because she would not get booked- that is an indirect statement of opinion. I'm stating that Sam...

Well, because it's a competition, the competition is not about finding the weaker models to give them a break, because no one in the "real world" is willing to do it, it's about finding the best model, whether or not all of the other finalists outshine the winner is out of Tyra's control. What you're saying is that Sam should win because she would not get booked otherwise, as opposed to McKey and that is not what it is about.

Well... Have you noticed the fan reactions from the cycles? Have you noticed that in a Cycle that the one who did not win (She was mentioned in the Models in Action two episodes or so ago) ended up out shining the winner? Have you also noticed that Katrazyna and Anya are signed up with Elite not long after their top model experience? (Cycle 10). There are better models than the winners but for McKey in this cycle if she didn't win she would have quit modeling. So they wanted to keep her in.

You know they shortened Saliesha's contract with Elite, and I've seen Caridee do fuck all work since she won. I'm sure they're all fine models and nice girls, but this season was about picking someone who would ACTUALLY book a job and was the first cycle where most of the girls probably stood a chance as high fashion models. Anyway.
