@kawaiiushii that is called Streching. It helps keep the paper from getting warped and wrinkly.

Awesome video! Couple questions. What do you use to do the linework on a piece like this? Also, how long does it take for the lines to dry? Thx!

@andycoursey In this case i drew the lines in tech pen, scanned it into the computer and then printed it out on watercolor paper. Thus I didn't really have to worry about the lines drying. ;)

If you don't want to destroy your brush while using masking, you can cover it with soap (the bar one) before, so after painting everything can be washed off the brush very easily without need of using some chemicals :)
