Sixty-one Advocate Health Care nurses met with Illinois legislators at the State Capitol in Springfield, Ill. in April 2010 for Advocate's annual Nurse Advocacy Day. The nurses talked with lawmakers about issues impacting the nursing profession and health care, as a whole.
The group that made the trip to Springfield was comprised of members of Advocates Nurse Advocacy Council (NAC) and their invited guests. The NAC is a unique program that provides Advocates 9,000 nurses the largest nursing audience in the state with an opportunity to engage in the legislative process, giving them a strong voice on important health-care issues.
Way to Go Advocate Nurses! Glad to see you going strong and expressing YOUR VIEWS to Legislators!
