For the branches you drop the A-N-E and you add a Y-L

No no no stop double bonds
These are alkenes, pritty much the same
A double bond here or there, and drop 2-H

now wait a minute triple bonds
these are alkynes
now heres a little change
triple bond , triple bond and drop 2-H

(chorus but as alkynes)

whoa! benzene
C-6 H-6
double bonds all over the place
but when its part of a chain its called a phenyl

now when halides are attached they take dominancy
and when a OH is, it becomes an alcohol
an alcohol ends with an... O-L
carboxylic acids are a little bit more difficult
O-I-C replaces, replaces the E
C double bond O, uh uh, bond O-H
