really you need more brightness, contrast AND FULL HDR 64 BITS LIKE CRYSIS RUNNINNG AT 64 BITS.
sun lighting withouth hdr is really poor.
seriously, ths not feel like you are using...

I know you got the cuda thing going on but are you doing the FFTs on ATI hardware yet? I never touched ATI Stream myself...

@DarkTripYT No CUDA involved, that would vendor-limit me and that is not a target market I'm aiming for. Currently it can be done through OpenCL and there is good support for NVidia cards and a "decent" one for AMD cards.

@monstercameron the scene was tested on Core i7 2.53 Ghz (quad core), 4 GiB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 2900xt ... tested under both Windows XP operating system and Ubuntu linux 10.04 Lucid operating system, performance was similar in both OSes

@VilemOtte0901 so who does most ot the work the cpu or gpu and can you tell me more about the raytracing aspect.
monstercameron 1 year ago
@monstercameron as a matter of usage - both are used to maximum, the renderer is using 2 MRTs at time - first one representing primary rays is done through rasterization on GPU, second one representing secondary rays is done through CPU, CPU also precalculates VPLs for radiosity and secondary shadows for it, also grass distribution and rendering of distance grass into second MRT, all the shading is done on GPU along with indirect lighting accumulation, mixing direct and indirect light, etc.
