HUGE Yanni fan, but adding a voice to your music takes away what was special about your music and it gets lost...please don't do this !

After seeing "Yanni Voices" on PBS I refused to go to his concert in Reading, Pa. I sent my wife and her friend. I don't like adding words to original pieces of music that started life as a stand alone composition. It's like adding words to the theme from " Star Wars!" Never needed them and don't need them now. Poor Yanni it seems you have lost your way in writing NEW original music, not rehashing something that was perfection. I love ya' but this new direction has left me very sad.

I have enjoyed Yanni's music for many years and no matter how his work had evolved I am totally convinced that he is one of the greatest composers of our time. I truly enjoy his early works as much as his latest ... including Voices which found me a little skeptical ... but proved to be a great piece once I listened to it. I hope he continues offering much more of his talent. His work is just magnificient!
