Here is the second test with my new SVP HDDV-9000 camcorder. It is shot in D1 (DVD quality). I wanted to test out high movement and figured what better way than to do that than while driving.

  • wow! that is pretty good! does it make a loud noise when you zoom in or out? did you render the video with anything before uploading? any special settings?

  • Yes the camera is really not all that bad. It really is the best hybrid camera I have personally ever seen or used as it is not true digital requiring no firewire and only an SD card. The zoom makes no noise when going in or out and is very smoothe due to the optical lens (only 3x...again this is a junky hybrid cam). I did nothing fancy to it except for changing all the settings to highest quality this thing could push. I only published it through movie maker in "DVD quality." That's it.

  • thank you for the response, i might have to pick one up. :) :) :)

  • Sounds good. One word of caution though; if you are anywhere near as picky as I am about any kind work you do whether in photography or videography, you will probably notice a slight, yet annoying, buzz/hum during playback. Unless you have a lot of noise draining it out, its pretty noticable when whatever you are shooting is in quiet surrondings--ie, filming nature in the outdoors or just people standing in front of the camera talking. Listen for it in my test 1 video for this cam.

  • quality looks fine here

quality fo svp cams seems to be a bit hit n miss as to whether people are happy or not

  • The battery lasts a looooooong time. It is what they call rechargeable ion battery. It comes standard with just about all of SVP's digital/hybrid cameras like this one.

  • te quality is great! i have a question..how is the battery? how long does it last? is it rechargable?
