Cuban V2A spy numbers booming in...

Another example of the Cuban spy numbers station V2A.

Long time no numbers stations!

Conditions haven't been that great, but this might be an exception.

This has got to be the strongest I've recorded it here in eastern Australia - it's coming in so loud, it's distorting.

There was a broadcast station near its frequency and it was completely obliterated.

You can even hear the hum of the carrier.

Perhaps Radio Havana, where V2A is thought to be broadcast from, had some sort of an upgrade?

Probably not, but this signal was indeed very strong!

you know what... i'm starting to think that this numbers station shares there transmitter with another station, i mean, the numbers boom in at 7 pm, then another station on the same frequency booms in around 10 nsw time... weird :s

i can usually find this every night, week days @ 0700 on 5885khz and weekends @ 0700 then again at 0800 on 5900khz
