No it did not. Barely made the dirt pile at the edge of the parking lot to cushion the fall.

Did you hear the people cheering in the background?
Also it's tough to see but the contractor had a couple loads of dirt dumped on the parking lot to cushion the ball. The equator of the ball missed by about 20ft, but you can see some dirt fly.

It needed lot of maintenance, and the facility connected to the county water system which saved a lot of money.
