Little Big Adventure 2 - Speedrun Segment9

It's finished! Nice and short since simply entering the statue is tricky.
It was surprisingly hard due to the first room and suicides - I know, I know; abusing of the lightning spell, but it gets the job done.

I take it you have the protection speell? it would come in pretty hand every now and then through its fun to complete the game with out it.

Do you mean during this speedrun? I don't have it (as you should be able to see). I don't like it because it prevents the use of lightning, but of course I've used it in the past.

well played! This used to seem like a massive game, but after watching that - i'm not so sure now! Didn't know the game could be abused so much!

Speedrunning the game has actually made me respect it more, as it offers so much depth in play style even 10 years and who knows how many playthroughs since I first started. Thanks for watching!

@DarkLauron Oh god, I checked the ball behaviour for the first three modes and didnt see any difference so I didnt bother to check the discrete one :P Imagine how hard it was for me to open the laser-gate when enterning the undergas ;) I still have no idea how does he aim so well tho, controling the ball for me is a mystery, even after beating the game like 6 times ;p

@Rashlo : Then I guess that the sword is technically made only to enter the royal palace :P

Also, if you're interested, every mode you can pick (normal, sprint, aggressive and discrete) will throw the magic ball differently. You throw it upwards while in discrete mode :)

@DarkLauron I just finished the game again after a few years pause and I noticed that Twinsen's fists, after getting the final magic level, are twice as powerful as the blade :P I did the whole statue part with the fists and the shield spell, it was funny to see the saber in the movie being held as I didn't use it.

@CannibalK9 How do you aim the ball so precisely or throw it upwards?

Just beat the game after 14 years of having played it. I used the Lightning spell just once to eliminate the two robot gunners that are close to FunFrock. The rest was up to the Emperor's Sword.

One question though - What is Twinsen thinking when he drops that invaluable piece of weaponry after defeating the villain? No doubt there's no LBA3! Twinsen's lacking the right weaponry! D:

at around 0:46 my LBA2 on Windows Vista has a bug which stops the game. The girl on the platform walks off and she freezes next to the Magic School guy forever. Is anybody else suffering from this problem?

Some very nice shortcuts. It took me ages to work out what to do after killing funfrock first time round, i just ran around until I accidentally went near the edge and found the kids.
