3:50 - according to Wikipedia, a reissue of this cartoon was made with Barbara Stanwyck's name dubbed over Carole Lombard's, due to Lombard's tragic death in 1942. This is obviously the pre-reissue version.

Arthur Q. Bryan was hilarious as Elmer Fudd. His "Oh Boy--Wabbit Twacks--heh-heh-heh!!!" always cracks me up.

This isn't actually the "first appearance" of Bugs, but yes indeed this is the first cartoon where he is given a name. Before this he was just a Wabbit

Of course this cartoon is so familiar and the gags outdated that people forget how big this toon really was in it's heyday Tex Avery's "A Wild Hare" caused complete pandemonium. The line "What's up Doc?" took the audience by storm in 1940 no one thought that the rabbit would calmly chew a carrot and nonchalantly utter the now famous phrase to the hunter. Audiences never expected it and it literally brought the house down at every theater.

This is a Warner Brothers cartoon overseen by the immortal Tex Avery, Walt Disney had NOTHING to do with it. This was Disney's compitition.

I'd like to explain some folly. The WB shield is slightly different from the one that's normally used with those red white and blue titles. The shield didn't zoom in at the beginning, and the opening music is different from the 1937-1941 music that is normally used. By the by, the cartoon was awesome. =D
