This was never a deleted scene. Why did you think it was deleted? It was in the movie theater version and on Home video. In fact every version I've seen had this scene in it.

I'm not sure I want to see Superman III now - having seen Smallville, I'm afraid I'll spend the whole movie going, "EEEEWWW - Superman's kissing his mother!"

Thought Kristen Kreuk was incredible as Lana, by the way - I'm guessing that her and Annette's interpretations of the character were fairly different (and obviously by this point she is no longer human Kryptonite, or still wearing a Luthercorp super-suit).
