Sorry this is a day late. It's my thoughts on continuing the dream that MLK began to dream 47+ years ago. May he forever rest in peace.

  • As I've told you before, I appreciate your support of marriage equality & your general attitude towards the LGBT community. Would that more of your fellow Christians embraced these positions. I wonder, however, how you see your support of marriage equality vis-a-vis your religious faith. Perhaps you've told me this before and I just don't recall it--if so, forgive my faulty memory. Some Christians contend that being a Christian precludes supporting marriage equality. What do you say to them?

  • @ProfMTH - Hey Prof, first thanks for watching and commenting. Second, I don't really see support of the recognized relationship between 2 people in the eyes of the government as a violation of my faith. It's not like the LGBT community is breaking down the doors of the church to get married inside them. I hope this doesn't offend, but the holy covenant of matrimony between a man, a woman, and God only shares one similarity with government marriage and that's the word "marriage". Disagree?

  • Good dreams!....xcept the federal taxes part...I may disagree with some of that ;) Refreshing that u r ok with homosexuals.

  • Nice video, Jay.

  • I have a dream that Kim Kardashian and myself blank, blank and then blank

all kidding aside, MLK was a great man with a great vision. we as humans need to take things to the next sept and see people not by color but as a fellow human

  • Very inspiring video!

  • i agree wholeheartedly with your full video.

  • I agree with most of your sentiments, Jay... a lovely and heartfelt speech.

  • Good stuff.

I'm not sure I agree about government funding "necessity" and not "charity" (imo the criteria should only be is it a worthy undertaking that benefits the nation, promoting a "every man for themselves" mentality usually does the exact opposite).

3:50 This is a problematic statement in terms of how you define the worth of a person, such a statement usually just means "these words have no meaning, its just a nice sentiment".

  • Black president? He is just as much white as he is black - 50/50. Color should not matter or be even paid attention to. We are human.

But, as well intended and heartfelt as your speech might be, I must respectfully disagree with several parts. (Which I will delve into later).

But indeed, may everyone find peace and happiness.

    Great video, buddy!
