@desertskies1965 I'm going to see him 3/12/11 in Worcester, Mass. for $64 way up in the balcony though, but at least the end of the balcony that is closest to the stage
he's playing here tonight (reno 2/19/2011) and the only tickets left are $265 a seat... I like his music, but that price is ridiculous... I could afford it, but I find it an insult to be asked to pay that much for any performer, especially with the economy with the way it is. I'll watch him for free on a video. Promoters go screw yourselves.
His performance is truly worthy of such an historic site that is centuries old and has seen countless other performances in its time. If anyone deserves to fill this ancient theater with music, it's Elton John.
