This is a scene from the fantastic Terry Gilliam movie Tideland. This scene is more a demo reel for Bleeding Art Industries as it is really just a fantastically large explosion. Alot of pyrotechnic material was in this simulation as well as alot of dust. As the actors were required to be close we had to ensure that the pyrotechnic was carefully placed, mortared and had no possibility of throwing something we did not intend. The debris you see flying is a light weight cork material. There were spotters in the grass and the field was carefully measured out. Permits were in place and the fire department and first aid were on standby. Please dont try this at home, in fact, please dont try this at all! Rent or buy the movie, it is a way better way to see such great effects.

One thing I noticed -- judging by the icons at 0:05-0:10 in the top-left corner you have the same DVD player that I own.
