IBC Studios, London (UK) - December 10th, 1968
The Dirty Mac were a supergroup consisting of John Lennon (vocals and rhythm guitar), Eric Clapton (lead guitar) , Keith Richards (bass guitar) and Mitch Mitchell (drums) that Lennon put together for The Rolling Stones' TV special entitled "The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus". This was the first time that Lennon, who was still with The Beatles, had performed in public without the other Beatles. The Dirty Mac recorded a rendition of the Lennon-penned Beatles track "Yer Blues" and then went on to back up Yoko Ono and violinist Ivry Gitlis on a track called "Whole Lotta Yoko". The other tracks are from the rehearsals (see the video picture for more details).
Fucking sick song. Love it!
