Not cajun dancing and the music is zydeco ;D Looks more like some kind of lindy-hop or swing dancing. Definitely not cajun lol

To Txstoryteller.... cajun and zydeco is not the same. Born and raised in Mamou and play in a couple bands (play with a zydeco band every now and then and a cajun band most of the time)... not the same; similar genre but not the same

thats not the cajun dance , thats east coast swing, looks good though, and its all about fun isn't it.

@txstoryteller actually you cant categorize them and thats coming from a person who is french born and raised in louisiana im from the cajun country part of lafayette and i was raised in this culture like i said this music is unique it takes a spin all the time every song is a variable when it comes to what they sound like but most of what you said is right im glad you like our music you have good taste i hope you like our splendid cuisine as well byebye au revoir ami

@tejanochico22 You are right-it isn't true Cajun dancing. You have to look at the old folks to see that.
-
Well, its interesting and they can dance but that ain't Cajun. I am born and raised Cajun--been to dances and fais-do-dos all my life. This is more like Zydeco.
Its not at all bad, its just not Cajun.

That is some fancy Cajun dancin', but that' zydeco music, not Cajun. I've been to Louisiana; know the difference between the two. Cajun more fiddle/steel/French accordion (country sounding), zydeco more soul/pop/rock (standard or French accordion, electric guitars, heavy drum beat, even throw in a frottoir). :) Love both, though! :)
