initiator was the tips from strike anywhere mathes and then the rest of the cavity in the back of the pellet is filled with flash powder, then sealed up with epoxy.

4 years later and i am still the only one making these correctly and effectively in a manner that does not effect the trajectory at all. even after explaining carefully how its done, educationally of course

Sorry for my bad english. So how about cutting the "powder" that is on the heads of the matches, and compressing it into the back of a pellet? cal. 4.5

take capgun cap powder out and mix with water then put into hollowpoint and let dry. that easy

@ParaglidingManiac this would work but it is not going to give you a flash of light for a fun effect, i would suggest compressing the match powder, then after that ontop of the first crushed powder ad a few flecks of magnesium available as a firestarter at camp stores, then seal it up with hot glue and stick the skirt with melted glue on a piece of paper let it dry and cut it off the sheet of paper. good to go...

someone i know got shot in the leg with one of these when he was training some lads how to shoot an SA80 but as they were using the .22 convo kit, it only seriously hurt him. :)
