anime--- short for "animation" can take the plural form of "animations", thus techniqually plural form of "anime" can be "animes". It's just matter of whether you want to put the "s" there or not. I'm sorry if my reply to kriwient offended you.

Guys, animé came from the word animation. If japanese people pronounce it in long way it would be アニメーション in romaji animeeshion, japanese people like to cut long english word so they took the first 3 syllables. Same with the word family restaurant, they call it FamiRes ファミレス.

It's not about opinions. It's about facts. As I already said, anime is a Japanese word. If you just can't believe me, do a fucking google search, for crying out loud! Of course, you are free to "drop this and move on" if you can't handle facts and would rather live in your own imaginary world where "anime" is an English word.

No, it's not. Did you even read my previous post? Anime is a JAPANESE word, not an ENGLISH one. Japanese do not differentiate between singular and plural therefore the use of the word "animes" is completely wrong. Anime is NOT short for animation, despite many people thinking so. It's a JAPANESE word, I repeat, and English grammar does not apply on it. Period.

Just search "anime plural" on google, read and get your facts straight before arguing.

hmm pretty sure last time i checked when using google chrome anime was a word that should not be corrected by its grammar check, anime is indeed an english word, and mainly used by the community to describe the thing we watch, if YOU dont think its a word thats your problem but its indeed a word

god dammit, youtube is being bitchy again, any anime YOU like is a good show, many reviewers and people dislike sao, but when you watch it on your own its pretty decent, people should stop trying to correct each other, and just enjoy stuff, like youtube was a few years ago before grammar nazie's kicked in.
