How to Delete Your Gmail Account

This is my first tutorial. I write at http://gfanatic.com, a Google fan blog where you can learn more about Google services and updates.


Inside Gmail pages, there's no button that allow you to cancel your Gmail Account, and you might have thought it is impossible to do it. It is possible though. However, the cancelation link is not inside your Gmail account. It is in a different page, and I will show you how to get there.

The reason you are asked for a new email address is because you need an email to login to your Google account.

Your Gmail is different from Google account. Gmail is only one of the other softwares or programs you can use with your Google account.

So, if you have decided to delete your gmail email address, then you need to provide Google a new email address so you can still login to other programs that Google offer you like blogspot, picasa, and google calendar. the new email address can be anything as long it already existed and not a gmail email address.

If you are not using other programs that Google offers, then it is best just to delete the whole Google account which is a different link under Delete. It should be on
https://www.google.com/accounts/EditServices page
and it says:

Close account and delete all services and info associated with it

what the hell. This doesn't work, google has since been updated like 93845497 times and now ther eis no way to delete. can you make a new tutorial for 2011 because it isn't lettng me make a new account until i delete this
