I replaced Alec Baldwin in the film Beetlejuice with a buddy of mine for a school project. I also replaced the teeth in this scene. The teeth in the original film looked pretty wonky.

  • Wow...that's extremely impressive! Looks so real, like nothing's been changed! How'd you remove Alec Baldwin from the original footage? Did you have to paint him out frame by frame?

    There is some frame by frame painting involved, but the main trick is to create clean "patches" by taking frames where the background is visible, cutting out a clean patch, and placing it over the character on another frame.

  • This was done pretty much exclusively using After Effects.
