  • This is a great movie scene because it features two kinds of rebirths in two different elements: V, he was lost himself, his person, he forgot who he was and let his oppressors do whatever they wished with him becoming like a corpse, but the fire(and pain) ignited life in him, it engraved that he was alive and should control his destiny. With Eve, she was lived in fear always in burning fear but the calming rain released her from inner demons and calmed her spirit. Two different rebirths .

  • @acinom13 If you were that character, the movie would be over.

  • @warblerab yeah that's true, but like V said, the only way of her being completely free was knowing she was about to die. that's why she was tortured and threatened until finally she wasn't scared anymore. but true, there are always other ways

  • God is everywhere!

  • @LorenaAwesomeChannel sure, there had to be a way to help her to stop being afraid and know what freedom is that doesn't involve torture. I find it impossible to believe that was the only way.

  • @warblerab probably not, but then maybe you didn't understand the message of the movie then. he helped her to stop being afraid and know what freedom really is, and in the end, helped her achieve it

  • @tiemedown Thanks, and I get what you're saying. But still, I think if I were in her position, I'd still never be able to trust V again. Maybe it's just me, but I don't like being manipulated, even if it's to a greater understanding and feeling of freedom. That would feel empty. Again, this is just my opinion.

  • @MCRomg I could upload it for you?

  • Does anyone know where I can find the scene that happens right after this one? That's my favorite but I can't find it anywhere!

  • @acinom13 She had every opportunity to get out, the reality was that had she given up information he would have let her go. But she didnt, the reality was that she was tired of running but needed more than V's hatred to commit to her worth, she needed Valerie's sacrifice. The reality was that without V, she never would have made it. She would have been black bagged and killed guilelessly but he instead gave her a new life. She'd never been able to understand freedom before that moment.
