Gibb's, such a tool. He pauses like he's going to say something deep but comes out like an 8th grade English paper. Gibb's, just like clockwork.

Robertson wasn't entirely off--most people that know anything about Haiti know about the Voodoo, witchcraft and other practices that go on there. And there has always been the rumored "pact with the Devil". Whether that happened or not, many people believe to have happened, and in a sense, many people of Haiti are on the devils "side" with their religion. Yes, Pat Robertson shouldn't have said that, especially in this time, but I think we should cut him a little bit of slack.

Community banks did not cause crisis yet they had to pay for the foul ups of the big banks. People please dont lump all banks together. Be angry at the big banks like BoA and citibank.

It was a religious reference and not something a politician should comment on. You know.. Separation of state and church and all that. Of course, the press secretary is a completely worthless person anyway.

The Beautiful thing right now is that he is free to say stupid stuff like that. The down side, Let me say that I am a small government conservative and is I'm also free to call him out for being a fantastic example of why people HATE the "Religious Right." How the hell is a moron like that in a position of leadership? What a scumbag.

I think he should have just said "My job is not to tell you what I think, my job is to tell you what the president thinks. I'll see if he has an opinion on that specific subject and get back to you. But I'm sure President Obama agrees with the 1st Amendment and Pat Robertson's right to say such things. He also probably reserves the right to disagree."
Much more nuanced, appropriate, and dignified don't you think?

Christians practicing Voodoo is a oxymoron. Thats like saying religiously that the Haitian people are Christian (vanilla) with a little Voodoo (chocolate) thrown on top. Its impossible to practice Voodoo and be a real Christian. There are some real Christians down there because I contribute to missionaries there who feed and church many Haitians. All of them have renounced Voodoo and are doing pretty good physically, emotionally, spiritually, and economically compared to the average Haitian.

Kashmir Earthquake is one of those disasters it happened in 2005. Sichuan earthquake happened in 2008
Gujarat earthquake happened in 2001
2003 European heat wave
I can go on and on...
The point is you can find demonic worship in any country. Haiti, Louisiana, and the people of the indian ocean are no different than any other place in the world. Some people worship the devil, it doesn't mean that they are due for a natural disaster.

I'm not religious but nice stereotype anyway. I'm not saying you should think they made that pact. Its just ironic that the top 3 places in the world for witchcraft and that kind of stuff have had the 3 worst natural disasters in recent history.
Name those others disasters with deathtolls the same as this.
Get those views up, or I'm out, Ryan P!
