  • Excellent Speech. For all those who still don't know, the whole global warming fear tactic is just more bullshit. That is what the President is saying, knowing that he would be critisized by the brainwashed masses.

  • klaus is a hero.

  • Klaus in 1991 (at that time Minister of Finance and "architect of transformation") was widely quoted as advising his Civic Democratic Party underlings and privatization of state enterprises task force:

"LET'S TURN OFF LIGHTS AND PRIVATIZE QUICKLY, before LAWYERS COME"

symbolized his scandalous disregard for rule of law, his politics of enriching nomenclatura and the Wild East swindlers (see Viktor Kozeny, the "Pirate from Prague", his ex-advisor, hiding in Bahamas from extradiction to US).

  • Christian Science Monitor reports:

Vaclav Klaus's snatching of the Chilean semi-precious stone pen recalls a similar kerfuffle over the pair of dinner gloves in 1991:

"Why Mr. Klaus, you have taken my gloves!' exclaimed an Irish (female) journalist colleague, recounting an experience at a banquet, sitting next to at that time Minister of Finance, the current Czech President Vaclav Klaus.

Fortunately, unlike with his Chilean hosts, Klaus was forced to return the gloves on the spot!

  • Klaus is holding the EUSSR at bay all by himself atm. brave man.

    President Klaus = Total Legend.

  • Endel, I criticized you for pointing out the speaker's skin color for no rational reason. Then you substituted "western" or "a person from more developed country" for the word white. Those were the phrases you didnt use. Instead, you chose to point out the man's skin color in the midst of a sentence intended to undermine his credibility. Plus, there are plenty of non-white people in developed countries. If you dont want to be perceived as a racist I suggest you stop judging people that way.

  • I didn't say what and when?

How can you exclude politics when you try to affect the society and the companies? It sounds a bit as if you are opposing anything regulatory just because you fear your recent past experiences in politics...? Be careful not to overdo it. At the moment politics is making the progress to greener alternatives slower, not faster.

Slightly off topic: Less government control and more freedom in USA is a hallmark of the recent global recession.

  • Global warming is not / wouldn't be a phenomenon that happens with a constant speed or even with same rate everywhere.

Which part of evidence you don't approve? Disappearing polar ice, species immigration, slightly changing average temperatures etc.?
