  • Check out his album. It is great.

  • Nice.

  • Nice lick there Mike Gannon! :D

  • @gwafan717

The riff is only one note off. They're both blues songs and use the blues scale, so yes, of course they sound similar. And yes, the blues is cool.

  • just listened to Mike's version of get what you deserve (one of my fav DTB songs) and it was mindblowingly great~ loved it

and the slide guitar sounds so dereky~ but with it's own twists of course

    check it out

  • wonder why he doesn't do the original b7 to 4 chord changes on this classic ... that was the whole point of the song ...

  • This an old Lee Dorsey song written by Allen Toussaint, New Orleans to the max..

  • If you listen to a few different performances of "Get Out of My Life," it should be pretty apparent that Trucks usually takes that first solo in much the same manner as he does here, lying back, being economic but expressive with relatively few notes. I don't see any way that he could be accused of shortchanging himself on this particular night for the sake of this (excellent) guitarist's ego.

  • Get Out of My Life Woman. Great job for this kid Mike. This had to be one of the greated days of his life.

  • sounds like "Born Under a Bad Sign", dont you think? if they planned that, that makes the song even cooler in my opinion
