  • I completely agree with what you say in this video. You are the type of Christian we need more of. I agree it's not the place of a Christian to judge others. According to Christian scripture, it's the place of God to judge. One of the greatest Christians was Paul who originally terrorized the early Christians before converting. American fundamentalists make a big mistake when they politicize Christianity. Jesus never politicized his beliefs. In fact, he did the complete opposite.

  • @MarmaladeINFP I think his message was a radical political message, it turned over the applecarts. It was about living not for self but for God and his or her fellow neighbor but his message was for everybody, it wasn't until constantine that it was co-opted.

Thank you for your complement, and please don;t be offended but you kind of remind me of what I was like before I was born again, I had the same complaints and concerns about Christianity.

  • @AVoiceCrying33 What I meant by Jesus not being political was that he wasn't trying to turn his message into a set of laws to be forced onto everyone including non-believers. He seemed to be promoting a transformation that happens within rather than a change that happens in the world. His Kingdom was in heaven, not on earth.

I'm not offended. I was raised Christian and I've never denied my Christian upbringing. I'm not a believer, but neither am I an anti-believer.

  • @MarmaladeINFP Yes but the Kingdom of Heaven is here on earth, that is one of transformed hearts and minds doing his work, healing the sick, speaking truth in the face of injustice.

The kingdom is not one of arms and wars, but of love and truth.

  • im not radical.but theres no way you or anyone else is going to convince me this guy wasent a radical he slaughtered 60 thousand babys alot of them late term. thats is the most grotesque thing that could be done on gods green earth. it is black and white.if you would look up late term abortion watch the procedure.they turn a baby backwards pull it all out except the head then kill with a pair of scissors under the scull . a follower of christ wont dothat.

  • No I agree, I am just saying the guy who killed him wasn't a follower of Christ either.

I think the only time that late term abortion is remotlly acceptable is if it is a clear case that the mother would die. I say it's not black and white because there are other issues as well that we have to work on hand in hand with making Abortion illegal, IE better education and better jobs for minorities.

Its a shame Plan Parenthood targets these disadvantaged people and the right wing ignores them

  • @AVoiceCrying33 Yeah. The only type of Heaven that makes sense to me is one that is on earth. The distinction I was making is that the Jews at the time were expecting a Messiah who would literally build a kingdom on earth. Jesus didn't fulfill this Jewish expectation. Jesus could be said to have brought a kingdom on earth, but it wasn't a physical empire as the Jews had in earlier centuries prior to the Roman Empire.

  • this is not movie quality but it is good someone makes sincere speech here and really care for the subject he talx of instead of just fooling around and word-fencing (like I do). thumb up.

  • LoL Yes i am opened minded but not in such a way that i become one of those who blindly accepts any and everything without thinking about it first and/or then develop my own opinion.

  • As Richard Dawkins once said, it's good to be open-minded... but not so open that your brain falls out :D

  • yea...They never think about stuff like that.most of them are closed minded anyway so unless youre saying something they agree with youll never make sense other wise.

  • circular reasoning :P

my biggest problem is that most religions state that God is merciful, but that point out that because I was born atheist, I was destined for hell since the time of my birth.
