Well said. But lets face it, we can lust after your body a lot faster than we learn to love your mind. Why not give us a chance to do both ?

We elevate lust to such a high importance, and lust clouds our logical judgment. We defend it because we as humans we are influenced by it. That however does not make it valuable. I have zero sex drive because of a surgery I had, and I am far more productive and in much better relationships.

I agree there is a lot to be said for more logic and rationality in relationships.  But sponteneity and impulse can be good too. Lust will make people do seriously stupid things, but it will also motivate them to do some fun and exciting things. Just saying, it isn't always a bad thing. Sex drive is just a scrip away, if your Dr is willing.

@karmatic1110 I'm with you there. All of my relationships that started on the internet lasted longer than the ones in meatspace aka the real world, due to having to not having the pesky lust thing cloud your judgement.

Let me tell you something ;-) A smart person turns me on 10 times more then a hot body. You think that is more advance thing then just loving boobs? You know what makes it so attractive for me? I`m a man, my sex drive is about dominance, I can`t help it thats what my drive is. It doesn`t mean I`m not nice or not a gentlemen. But even liking brains is a primitive instinct the way I see it.. maybe more advance in terms of evolution. Because your brains are more important for the next generation.

All day I've been thinking about this. It is sad. I hate sex. I despise all people who love it. I don't see the fucking purpose in it. I don't see the purpose in anything really. But I can't get off. Why would God not let a person be able to get off when He created sex? Idk... but I can't. Maybe He's punishing me. I was kinda permiscuous in HS. And it's very unlikely I haven't met the right person. I've done it with too many people for them all to be wrong...

Perhaps its naivete on my part but I don't buy that sex is more important than knowledge.

However, it is indirectly responsible for spreading knowledge all over the world. Sex has always been a driving force in technology which directly effected the spread of information/knowledge.

Reproduction is part of the survival instinct. It makes sense that it would override knowledge.

I agree its stupid but what do you propose?
