I love seeing gorillas in zoos because they are fun to watch, but I always feel sad because they look so depressed.

cute but so sad to see them in captivity

@brockpfeif Well it does look horrible. I'm not sure why i shouldn't express what I see.

Wanna know what's sad to see? Gorilla babies next to their skinned and sliced parents. Atleast these guys won't ever run into any poachers in their lives. Feel sorry for the wild gorilla and what humans do to them.

Dad looked like, son please take a nap please.

Sounds like Fossy is listening to the "Game" while playing with Mosi. All Fossy needs is a beer in his other hand LOL

@moomoocowcowy much safer and richer life they would have here than in the wild, trust me.
if i was an orphan i would prefer to be taked by aliens and fed ...
I Just Wish They Could Build Bigger Living Spaces For These Animals Instead of Keeping Them Cramped Up =/

@SpReAdThEpEaCePpLz Actually, these gorillas have a very large outdoor yard, as well as other indoor holding areas. I do understand how it may look, but this is just a very small view of the area they have access to, and they are free to move where they want. Sometimes they just like to be cozy in a smaller space...especially when interacting with an infant.

this zoo looks like hell

@ivanaman And you're basing that nasty comment on a single video of a father and son having an intimate moment in an off exhibit area where they feel comfortable enough to engage in this kind of wonderful, natural behaviour? I appreciate your concern, but these apes have the largest outdoor exibits of just about any zoo in this country. If you had bothered to ask I would have been happy to tell you about their accomodations. Please know what you're talking about before making nasty comments.

Brockpfeif, thanks for catching me up with an old friend. I keep hearing that he's his father's son, but it's always nice to be able to see with your own eyes. Blow him a kiss for me next time you see him, would you?

Sorry it took me so long to respond! Thank you so much for your kind comments. Fossey is an extraordinary guy and such a wonderful dad. He absolutely learned that from Bongo! And thanks for your comments about indoor holding...most people don't understand that. Mosi is 2 1/2 now and loves to play with his dad outside! If you would like more info or pics please contact me.
