7 trucks loaded with bottled water and relief supplies were seen heading north from Southern Thailand today. At least one of them bore the symbol of a Thai NGO. (The source seems to be the generous people of Phuket, as covered at http://www.phuketgazette.net/news/detail.asp?id=11277) The bottled water shortage in Bangkok is still acute. Manufacturers in neighboring nations should consider immediate exports to Thailand, despite the logistical challenges of distribution and the uncertain rate of recovery of domestic production.
