Secondhand Serenade - It's Not Over.

Nick's POV

'My tears run down like razorblades,
And no, I'm not the one to blame.
It's you or is it me?
And all the words we never say,
Come out and now we're all ashamed.'

I miss her. I missed her as soon as she walked out of my door. I wish I'd had the guts to tell her what she needed to hear, but I couldn't. Maybe I was stubborn, or maybe I was afraid. Either way, she was gone. Not coming back unless I did something about it. But I couldn't focus on my problems, because Kevin was having a meltdown and he needed me.

I made my way to Rosemount Hospital, searching the halls until I found him.

"Kevin!" I yelled, rushing towards him to embrace him in a supportive hug.
"I'm so glad you came Nick." he sniffled.
"You need me Kev, I'm gonna be here." I replied.

I took a seat beside him and said my hello's to Carson and Joe, then waited for Kevin to explain what was going on.

"She just passed out, hasn't woken up since. The Doctor's are doing tests on her, but they think it's the baby." he finally admitted.
"But she's only 4 months pregnant." I mused. "Surely she can't be going into labour….can she?" I asked.
"Let's pray to God she doesn't." Joe added.

Just at this moment, Riley came wondering down the hallway, a cup of coffee in her hand. She passed it to Kevin, who smiled thankfully at her, than took a seat as far from me as possible.

'Now it's over, it's over, it can't be over.
I wish that I could take it back,
But it's over.'

"Nick, would you like to come for a walk with me?" Carson offered. "I'd really like to get some breakfast from the cafeteria."
"Uhhh, yeah sure." I agreed, following her down the hallway.
"Alright, spill." she ordered, as soon as we were out of earshot.
"We broke up." I stated. "Had a huge row…..a few huge rows, then she finally walked out on me last night. I don't blame her." I admitted.
"Are you trying to get back together?" she questioned me.
"I don't think it'd help Carson. I love her, but things were just going from bad to worse. We lost all the trust." I replied.
"What were you fighting about?"

*"I'm leaving Nick. This obviously isn't getting any better, and I refuse to stay here and be made into a liar."
"But you are a liar. You told me you loved me…..then you hurt me."*

'I lose myself in all these fights,
I lose my sense of wrong and right,
I cry, I cry.'

"Jaime." I muttered. "I wish I could trust her you know, because she's probably telling the truth."
"Then why don't you?"
"I just can't allow myself to. It's like something inside me won't let me do it. I don't wanna be hurt again Carson." I heaved, looking her in the eyes. She wrapped an arm around me, and said, in a sisterly sort of way;
"Whatever happens, happens."

And I believed her.

'It's not over.'

so, this is the very LAST chapter. ever.
3 epilogue's have been written though, so I'll probs post them friday, saturday + sunday :D

I took part in another protest today, around my home town of Leeds! We did a college walkout at 11am, then marched around for two hours cheering and shizz. you may have seen us on the news ;D

Also, I have a job interview tomorrow! WOO!
fingers crossed cuz I could really use one :D

Ahh, Uni is deffinetly on the cards for me too. I wanted to live away from home, but costs are ridiculous :/

Yeah I thought that same thing, I got mega pissed off when they said about the raising it up to £9,000 from £3,290, that's just extortionate! I haven't got an extra 6 grand!! D:

awh, i remember reading this from like..so long ago. im about to re-read the begging chapters again. ^_^

They all grew up so well. i mean granted carson & riley turned into sluts at some point... but they all grew up so well. :} loll.
