1961 Mercury Meteors were the low-line full-sized car for '61, Monterey was the top end. It wasn't until '64 that Merc brought back the top-of-the line Park Lane series. The mid-sized Meteors of '62 & '63 were gone by '64, and the Comet got bigger. What a confusing marketing scheme!

That is such an awesome car! I love those old 60's Mercuries! I used to have a '69 Cougar. I miss that car.

The Meteor and Monterey were both sold in the US (can't speak for Canada).
