@alilinzee Eclectus are not dust based birds, but oil based. Chances are your husband won't be allergic.
-
thats definately hormonal ive seen this behavior before she needs a mate, notice how the butt and tail feathers flare out and not just the tail
-
Actually no, that is not normal begging behavior. The original poster has it right.
-
This looks like normal begging behaviour. They do it when they want attention, wants to be moved or when hungry.
-
She's trying to be a humming bird!
-
So the Male Eclectus is best to purchase than the Female Eclectus, I've heard something like that before.
-
she's very beautiful. perhaps she would like to meet my male eclectus Kiwi who is constantly making love to his boing toy!
-
You guys should see " Nisha the Eclectus Playing Baske..." she's funny Very smart and plays with Dogs too
-
Oh my SI Eclectus, Nisha, is 2 years and she is showing signs of 'desire dancing' too! Check out her video I've posted of her doing some tricks!
I'd say, if you like birds in general, to not buy a female eclectus on beauty alone.
Do a little research.
She's a lovely animal, but really prefers young men in the 25-35 range.
And she likes her mom. But she has shouted young women out of the house.

I have a Red-sided hen that is constantly hormonal. This looks more like begging than hormonal behaviour.

No, she does this when her beloved, my husband's son, is in the house. If it's begging, it's for something I won't name here.
She whines when she wants something else.

No, poor thing. Those handsome boyfriends lead to little babies that have to be fed in the middle of the night. Loving Lucy and taking that track are two different things.
