Building longer phrases

Start out with a first rhythmical statement, lets call it (a). Create a reaction to it, lets call it (b). Repeat the original statement (a), but create a small variation for the reaction, lets call it (b').
Repeat this whole proces ! That will give you the next form:

abab'abab''.

And ofcourse you could keep on doing this, to create very long sentences. This typical example was created by the great master Arafan Touré. Thank you Arafan !
