@InfidelMen idk what you are talking about tata trucks are extremely reliable, they take THE MOST aggresive beating constantly going uphill, overloaded, driving in city traffic, and going through the rigorous indian roads and they do just fine. peterbuilt mac's are great in america but wouldnt last in india too long.

Ofcourse the design of the Vehicle is deriving from the tradition and living style of the people who made it.About the power and Capacity of the engine "amit79ful" has wrote below in right way, this is the answer who commented here in negative manner.
See East Asia and MiddleEast,TATA has been developed their market by selling Trucks and other series of vehicle...Is it because of worst performance???
Dont blame please....Open your eyes and accept it..

TATA 1613 pure piece of S-H-I-T

@sj413t actually not that improbable...a tata is basically a mercedes lp 1113...merc has had atmospheric v8's since the 70's..tata building v8's would'nt be that surprisin although v8's are pretty useless really...

these trucks got like 74 hp- 125 hp still i'd buy one, plus i like how the doors open backwards, so you could drive with the door open

give me a peterbuilt of a mac truck any day over the TATA truck.

@sideslide23 every vehicle should be designed as per needs for the people using it, no need to waste diesel if 200 HP can do why have 400 HP this the reason the west is consuming more natural resources and blames india, china, russia, brazil and south africa for pollution, put in ur dumb jack ass head that 200 hp can carry 40 tonnes why bloody have 400 hp for the same 40 MT load. any ways ur not an educated engineer i can make out easily.
