A peek under the skirts of a proper Victorian Lady's Ball-gown. Bestselling romance author Deeanne Gist commissioned professional seamstress Kelly Cochran to make her a dress for author's appearances, seminars and getaways.
See how Victorian women achieved those remarkable silhouettes.
Not only does a well fitted corset not hurt, but it feels wonderful. If you have back troubles like I do it gives more support and fits better than anything a doctor could prescribe.

Back then women were elegant and modest, very lady like :) I love it!

Absolutely beautiful dress and girl. I thought her hair looked perfect without the wig though.

@RawrNinjabubbles OK here. I wear a deconstructed victorian look. If I can handle the layers in the heat, you can too!

I live in Texas I can't wear that many layers!

@JessieSweetey corsets only hurt if they are ill fitted OR you lace them to tight and hurt your self otherwise they are pretty all right just don't drink soda

If the corset is a proper fit (like that one looks to be) it doesn't hurt. They are infact quite comfortable, if a bit restricting. After all some people with back problems even use them as support.
