@03DexterHauler Hey Dexter, Yeah, basically relying on the heat coming from the compressor, I`m having real trouble gittin back to doing videos, the battery I need for my camera is real hard to find. Can`t afford a new cam.. I use wicker paper plate holders to dry the stuff. Thanks

@imasurvivornthriver they can get a little loud :) so if you have a screened in back porched I'd recommend doing them there. Well worth the trouble when complete. Great in soups.

I'm scared to dehydrate onions. They say that it smells up the WHOLE house!!! LOL! What has been your experience with it? Thanks for sharing.

Hey guy, I have been drying stuff on the top of the fridge for years now and since the fridge is running anyway, I don`t really use the dehydrator much anymore, except for jerky. I don`t see the need.

@1fanger Interesting. Are you just using the dry heat from the coils of the fridge to dry the product? You should make a vid on that.

How long does ur dehydrated food last usually? Like how long before its no longer edible?

@33Vgrey Depends on how you store it. Air, light and moisture are your enemies. With that being said, it would last weeks if not months just in a ziplock bag, but if you put it in a mason jar or mylar bag with a O2 absorber it should last years if not decades.

I did not realize that frozen vegetables were blanched. Is that listed in the package info, only applies to certain vegetables? Thanks for the video! Thumbs up.

@kentuckyprepper1792 Haven't seen it on the package, but know that blanching seals in color and taste. If you dry fresh from the garden you could get a dis-colored product.
