I built a simple circuit to control my "ICON 30" split-flap clock from the 70's.

This clock isn't designed to simply plug in and run -- it is supposed to hook up to a "time controller" which tells it when to flip. So, in large institutions, the time on all of the clocks is always the same.

The circuit I built is very simple -- it basically just trips the clock's power once every minute, causing the clock to flip to the next minute.

  • I have just removed a quantity of these clocks and many are functional. If anyone is interested please contact me!

  • Do you think they have a website I can order from? I am in the US.

I would love to try to recreate what you have done in this video.

  • I know it's a bit late but I bought one a while back from a shop called Tiger. Don't know what country you're in but they have Tiger all over Europe x

  • Where can I find a clock like that?
