Dear Conductor: Your expression at the end of this movement says it all. Thank you.

The first movement so joyous and modern. By 5 minutes in Beethoven has introduced three potential motivs. The third, with its staccato dance rhythm gets me up and in love with life! I cannot help smiling every time I hear it. Then comes the allegretto, surely one of the most yearning things ever set to a musical score. Wow!

In my opinion, this is the greatest symphony of Beethoven. Period.

Excellent! Incredible! Better than I remembered!
Mr. Latshaw, I inform you with pride that your performance of this movement is by far my favorite I have encountered. I am a very nit-picky listener, and in yours I would not alter one note, rest, inflection, nay, not even a sigh.
You make one mistake: at the very end of the piece, you neglect to repeat the entire monster at once. I shall now fix your error by a playlist which cycles this extensively, before continuing the bestest song of all.
