In early 2009, GRE, Inc. was in the San Rafael Swell area doing some inventory of mines and mining sights that are slated for reclamation. Our excursion brought us rather close to an area known as "Area 52". There is a good deal of conspiracy theory regarding this site. It is the White Sands Missle Range. And it appears to be abandoned. However, we invite you watch this and make your own assumption.
If you visit these sites, please be respectful and leave everything as you find it. This includes relics and any artifacts you may come across; the Antiquities Act of 1906 makes it a federal crime to move or disturb any relics or artifacts that could be of historical significance.
Since 2004, Gold Rush Expeditions has been working to save these historic sites as a part of Utahs heritage. Unfortunately, State and Federal mandates are against us, Utahs Governor, John Huntsman, Jr. has been made aware of the situation, but still does nothing.. His office has been contacted numerous times and still the destruction continues. Additionally, the BLM, and the Office of Surface Mining has disregarded our arguments. Even when presented with hundreds of letters from concerned citizens.
Please take a moment to help us save Utahs mining heritage, visit our website at www.goldrushexpeditions.com and click on the "Action Items" to send an email to all of the interested parties with one simple click.
@gnomesbaby I just wanted to say that people who believe in conspiratorial nonsense are going to believe it no matter what you say, and people who don't won't, but not because of what you've said (though they'll take it into account).
This video is providing a service by showing some neat old buildings that give people a peek back in time. So what if they spice it up a little? I've been on many guided tours all over the US, and they all add spice for interest. It brings in tourism dollars.

It is just an abondond missile base that lies within green river city limits. There is nothing really special about it. One day it closed down and never reopened. My grandpa was one of the employees. Just another lie about this town to bring in people.
