well actually you can get the stem cells from the placenta (that is if the doctors decide to keep it). Also in the region around Russia somewhere they have discovered that if you take the stem cells from the placenta and lets say if your 102 years old and dying, they inject it into you and and it actually rebuilds the organs and tissues. SO YOU WILL LOOK LIKE YOU DID WHEN YOU WERE 25!!!!

There are stem cells in the umbilical cord and afterbirth, but scientists prefer to take them from the embryos themselves since they are so much more abundant there. Never mind that they get killed, right? :D

You have to kill babies basically to get this right? That is sick.

You can get embryonic stem cells for umbilical cords as well. Embryonic stem cell research doesn't have to have anything to do with abortion, although most people are not educated enough on the subject to know that. And most people prefer to believe what they're told.

Do you like to judge? You don't go negating someones post because they didn't know soemthing. You aren't that mature. So if you don't want me to belive what I am told I shouldn't listen to you. Right?

I wasn't referring to you when I said what I had said.

I was trying to make more of a statement against the people that do know that you don't have to kill babies, and still push the generally believed fear spam that you do have to kill them, either through straight out lying or avoiding alternative methods of acquiring embryonic stem cells.

But as far as not listening to me goes, I wouldn't. The only way to get subjective information is to look into it yourself.
